No, LC III was the full-on LC with a 68030 and a 32-bit data path.  Like 
a IIci in a teeny case.

You may be thinking of the Quadra 605, which was the same case, but an 
040 LC.  I have one upgraded to a full 040 running at 2x clock (50MHz 
external/100MHz internal.)  It can beat an 840AV...
