Ok, I have tried for weeks, on and off, to get my Linux box to see
changes in hardware. If I take out all but the video card, nothing is
seen as changed. When I add a half dozen NIC's and a sound card,
nothing is seen as changed. Is there a way to manually see things as
changed? Or a program executable at the command line that can force
it to seek out new hardware? This is a last ditch effort to get Linux
to work on this, and next options are either throw the machine out,
or install OpenBSD. Thanks.
