You either
a) don't have kids or
b) weren't looking the equipment at the ultrsound

I wondered myself, until I looked at it.  It is nearly *identical* to the
one that was used to record the ultrasounds of both my kids.

I presume that it contains some extra whiz-bang features that allow for high
quality recording necessary for medical imaging - but I suspect it's mostly
market-speak.
