metainit d9                   (d9 is the slice on the new disk)
metattach d0 d9               (d0 is your / mirror)
[...wait...] 
metadetach d0 d1              (d1 is the slice on the old disk)
eeprom 'boot-device=diskX'

Partitions moved, no outage :)
