MUD hosting. I'm an author of the codebases we host, so it makes me uniquely
suited to host them. :) Don't get me wrong, it's taken 5 years (we first
started hosting in 4/97) to build all the systems to the level where it runs
pretty much unattended. Previously I had it in fairly-expensive Silicon
Valley colo so it actually /lost/ money, but now that I am laid off, I moved
it to some less-expensive surroundings and it makes a profit. There's not
much money to be made tho anymore, since the MUD scene is waning due to
games like Everquest.
