I've been poking around, looking at keyless entry kits.  Most of them seem
to be designed to work with cars with pre-existing electric locks, which
my car doesn't have.  But, I'm fairly sure that such kits must exist because
I keep hearing about VW enthuisiests who add such things to their old cars
(old meaning older than mine) that also had manual locks. 

Any ideas of where to find such a gadget?  I mainly interested in the 
mechanism for operating the locks, since I don't really want a radio 
transmitter controlling the thing.  Instead, I think I want either keypads, 
or maybe an iButton interface.
