Intel P4 -- more motherboard choices.

I favor the Supermicro boards with SCSI-onboard.

Sound Blaster Audigy or Turtle Beach Multisound Pinnacle Studio.  The
first is more game-oriented, the second more pro-oriented.

If you need fancy surround sound, get a LynxONE.  It easily outclasses
either of the two previous cards, but it's more expensive.

I can't recommend the PC Power & Cooling steel full tower more.  It rocks.
Their power supplies rock as well.
