[geeks] Anybody know how to extract video from a Sony HandyCam?

I have borrowed a Sony HandiCam 8 MM Digital video cam to try and get the
videos of two of my boats onto useful media. Unfortunately the fellow whom
owns the cam has no clue at all how to get the images off the tape. Nor can
he find the directions.

Anyway, this camera has USB output and I have tried to use the included
(FSCKed) software on both my Mac and my PeeCee laptop to no avail.

Anybody? Bueller? Bueller?
