shake out the water, into the dish drainer to dry, or the cabinet if there
is a towel handy.  My wife (artsy type) doesn't insist on washing per se but
she tends to leave those things in the sink, where they get dirty, and need
to be washed anyway.  Wonderful, person, excellent cook, makes a lasagna to
die for, but damn she is messy in the kitchen.
