Today I've gotten a lot done on configuring my Ultra without having to run
for help on a lot of it.
I installed rxvt (which was unnessesary), bash, python, figured out the
terminfo system. It seems I'm finally getting somewhere. Of course,
once the compiler is working, all those things mentioned are old familiar
ground, except for the terminfo database.
Looking at my todo list, I see that the only two tasks that I haven't done
numerous times before are installing postfix (this is the program that
replaces sendmail for incoming emails, right?) and openssh.
Are the sunfreeware ssh packages broken? From how painfull getting it to
work on redhat 6.0 was (a heavily upgraded from source redhat 6.0 with
a 2.4 kernel among other things), and failing to make it work, I'm wondering
if it wouldn't be better to use a package this time.
