Guh... ! I do everything on my own. (Mostly because I couldn't justify
paying a cent more than I have to for a MS cert.)
I could have done the CCNP and CCNA alone in hindsight, but it was
slightly easier doing a boot camp... (and it was free... I finagled the
CCNA, then luck of luck our instructor got sick and cancelled in the
middle of the week so I took the test anyway, and rather than get a
refund for the course I asked for a pro-bono CCNP boot camp...so I got
like two cert boot camps for like $3000. A $9000 savings)... The big
help with the boot camp was the ability to play on live routers... that
alleviated some comfort issues with just going into the tests cold from
previous experience and books alone. It was also helpful because you
could correct where the course materials were wrong and the potential
huge gotchas out in the real world.
