Hrm. I was making $SALARY at $oldjob, and hadn't had a raise there in
over a year (though the previous one was 12%!) and moved to $newjob at
exactly the same rate. So no raise that year either. Then I moved to
another division of $newjob, at which point I was told "We don't pay
$SALARY over here, no-one's making that much." I was offered $6K less
with the promise that if I was worth it, they'd give me a $3k raise in 3
months and the other $3k 3 months later. I got the two raises, but all
that did was bring me back to where I'd been for the previous two years.
Sheesh. 

So another year has gone by, with the same value for $SALARY as had been
three years ago. They just did reviews, though, for the first time since
I got here, and I got a massive 5% raise. Fooey. 

SO sorry, Pete, but I think I've got you beat on this one. Making the
same for three years, except for the year I made LESS.

It's a shame expenses haven't stayed the same. Leah had to go back to
work recently to dig us out of debt (she'd been a stay-at-home mom since
our first kid was born 6 years ago).
