[geeks] Ah, the joy of Vietnamese food.

Chan and I decided it would be nice to run down to my favorite
Vietnamese place for dinner, as had a jones on for this noodle soup they
make with shrimp, crab, rice noodles, egg noodles, and wontons.
Mmmmm... Along with some Goi Cuon (Vietnamese fresh (not fried) spring
rolls with shrimp and shredded pork), life is good. Top it off with Rau
Ma (pennywort juice) and buuurp! (So what if we had to go 20 some-odd
miles...) (Around here, with the traffic, that's like 50 miles in New
Mexico.)

Now if only Escondido had a decent Viet. place.

(For those of ou who haven't tried it, it's worth doing, if you have one
in your neighborhood. Look at the menu - if it has many pages, and 300
or so items, chances are it's good. If it has only a couple of pages,
and no Pho (beef noodle soup), run away.

Pho is the first thing I've had with tripe in it (there are many kinds,
I like the "deluxe", with tripe, tendon, flank, etc.) that I could eat
and enjoy. I could never warm up to menudo. (The food or the band.)
