Having spent 6 years in Schuylkill County PA (predating my vegetarianism), I
can vouche for the wonders of scrapple. Don't look at it before its friend
(some like it thick-sliced, but I liked thin-sliced) and don't ask what's in
it. Just enjoy it. Scrapple + home fries + scrambled eggs with toast and
homemade jam from June-bearing strawberries purchased from the Mennonite
farm down the road in Pine Grove. I loved it. Yeah, heart-attack city, but
I'll die happy and well fed.

Lebanon hot baloney, Red beet eggs, shoo-fly pie (wet bottom), Perogie's and
Potato pancakes were other local goodies.
