No objections here, as users of services you provide to us for nothing I
think it's more than fair.

Although this has made me think, would you put something like that in a
footer? Where hardly anyone sees it? It would be more visible, and therefore
more acceptable to potential sponsors as a header surely? OMG, what am I
saying?! :)

ISTR that one of the other lists I used to subscribe to actually had their
"Read the FAQ and Archives" warning at the top of all their mails. It sort
of makes sense but obviously it is intrusive. Which is the point I suppose.
