The trick is the reasonably priced ones tend to be older technology, which will require a serious effort to re-align, if needed...

Try looking in a recent copy of Nuts & Volts (most big chain bookstores carry it, if you are not sure), or "Circuit Cellar" -they cater to the home electronics "professional." (as opposed to "Popular Electronics")

(My workbench, once cleaned off/up will have a P/133 or better system with a network connection, screen/keyboard on a riser, and will have a DMM/'scope software/interfaces. The wife is getting a bit testy about the basement, so it might happen sooner than later, so please share any pointers here)
