Weird Stuff doesn't have all that much weird stuff. It's mostly buckets of
used PC hardware. If you walk into the store and expect to buy, oh, a Sun
drive mounting bracket of some kind, forget it. In fact, there isn't a place
in the SF bay area where you can walk into a store and buy something like
that. Weird Stuff *might* have a SPARC 20 for sale for some exorbitant
price.
Fry's is good for instant gratification, but it's got nothing you couldn't
have shipped cheaper. And if you walk in there not knowing what you're
looking for, you're screwed-- the service reps don't know very much about
the hardware they're selling.
All in all, not really something I'll miss.
David
