I imagine that you're not getting callouses because of the
- light strings on the eletric
- the fact that (IIRC) classical guitars are usually strung with plain
   nylon string (i.e. not wrapped)

I've been playing about an hour or so a day for the last month
on both an el-cheapo Yahama folk acoustic and a beatiful old
early 1960's Guild F-30, both strung with light gauge wound strings.

I just had the F-30 tuned up and it sounds so very sweet. Can't
hammer on it, though. It's definately a guitar for gentle songs.
