Cassettes were better?

I mean, Bruce Springsteen recorded his album "Nebraska" on a Tascam - it was
just a demo, but the label wanted to use it as-is...

The story goes that he walked into the office with the tape in his jacket
pocket, and when he left it was the master copy of his next album...
