I got a Mavica FD-51 off eBay for $150 about a year and a half ago,
spent another $100 on the battery and charger.  $250 for what was then
a $400 (new) camera?  That's a deal.  Unfortunately, it got stolen out
of Amy's car.

Yow, my budget is much lower than that.

Floppies arent a problem if you have a laptop with a floppy drive.  Also,
floppies are nice for not having to carry around a flashcard reader or 
a set of connecting cables.
