And, of course, USPS offers saturday delivery for *free*...

I used USPS to ship two SS/5s to Scotland not long ago, I think it was $100
with an estimated delivery of 4 - 6 weeks...

Never seen that, the one time I had to file a claim (FedEx ground ate my
monitor) I didn't think they would pay-out, as the monitor was packed in
peanuts in a big flimsy box...

USPS is great for small packages, and I try and use FedEx Ground for most
everything else... They (FedEx Ground) "lost" my Ultra 30 shipment 24 hours
after I shipped it (the tracking number was not found), after several phone
cals I had to go to the servicce counter and see for myself if the package
even left the building! (they don't give out the counter phone number)
fast-forward 24 hours, the monitor turned up and got there on time. It seems
that FedEx Ground is *truely* seperate from FedEx, every package has to be
manually entered into the tracking system, and mine wasn't (for some
reason) - the other package I shipped was entered fine (same manifest!),
odd.

Oh, I've got a shipment on it's way to me that I would love to get *right
now*... I've got a TurboSPARC SPARCbook somewhere between here and Texas ;^)
(Mr. Bill - no sweat, I understand, no problem)
