I looked into what parts you couldn't buy for my 68 Camaro and it came down
to the roof. That was the only part I couldn't buy new. And I think you
could buy them for 69's.

Jon,
When I got my first Mustang (1967, straight 6) I got it becuause:
a) Price was right
b) Parts were easy to get
c) Mechanic nearby the *only* works on older Mustangs
d) The car was in great shape
I considered getting a Thunderbird convertible (I really like the 1964
"square bird" design), but I couldn't find a good mechanic nor were
there any *great* examples available at the time.
The Corvette market is *huge*, the Corvair market is *tiny* (thank you
Ralph Nader! - "Unsafe at any speed"), so I would never have assumed
that Corvair parts would be easy to come by. I bet, if I wanted to, I
could buy *any* part for a Corvette or Mustang, to the point of nearly
building a car from parts...

LOL! I'm such a busy dude today, too. *sigh* My house is
turning into a parking lot. Soon I'll have a car on blocks
on the lawn. I wonder what the homeowners association will
say about it.

Did you know it's harder to get parts for a '63 Corvair than
it is for a '58 Corvette?
