I once was working with a UI designer/specialist, and I needed to set up an overhead projector for him to demo his mock-up of a proposed interface...

OK, no biggie - so I asked him what resolution he needed to support - 800x600 or 1024x768 (common PC screen sizes) - he said "15 inches".

I asked again, and he repeated "a 15 inch screen."

Well, it turns out that the resolution displayed on a typical mac was based on the size of the screen (one less choice for the end-user to worry about!)... Turns out 800x600 was fine for his needs...
