If it had paper tape than it was an ASR-33 There were 3 models of '33'
Teletype, the ASR (Automatic Send/Receive) KSR (Keyboard Send/Receive)
and RO (Receive Only). the 33 meant that it was an ASCII model (aka 8
level) or 32 meant that it was Baudot (aka 5 level) which is what was
used for the old Telex service. I believe either the 33 or 32 used 1"
wide papertape.
