To begin with, a fast-narrow with 50-pin external would be fine. I want to
hook up the scanner. The CrapUSA here in Miami has no Mac-compatible SCSI
cards; neither does the Apple Store. I have a non-powerdomain Adaptec 2930,
but it's in use on one of the Alphas which I really can't take down, so I
can't use it to test if the "regular" 2930 will work in the Mac.
Eventually I want to go to Ultra-160 and replace the internal IDE drive on
this beast, but that'll be a little while.
