[geeks] -fast option on Sun's compiler.

Before I get to RC5, I tried two versions of gzip, one "generic sparc,
compiled with gcc" and the other "with -fast, ultrasparc only".

The target was a large .tar file - the entire forte compiler installation
dir, as a single tarball:

145713664 Dec 13 15:50 forte.tar

The file was in /tmp on mt U60 (2x300MHZ, 1G RAM.  System was idle, no
other users.)

"generic" gzip:

user=277.0sec   kernel=3.0sec   elapsed=4:40    percent=99%

"sparcv9" gzip:

user=254.0sec   kernel=2.0sec   elapsed=4:16    percent=99%

Not a huge difference, but there. (About 9% faster)
