Yeah.  I hear you.  I have the same problem, and I AM on a lintel box.  

So, have you found any good replacements?  Don't bother saying quicken, since 
it is only a good replacement if I use it, and I won't get around to shuffling
over to my sister's machine to use it (My Wintel machines consist of a company
laptop that I'm not supposed to install new software on, and a 486 laptop).

Of course, this type of software is the type that everyone and their brother
write for fun.  Maybe I'll do the same.  Give me a chance to figure out data IO
in clisp or scheme48 (or better yet, maybe emacs).
