I'd recommend shooting anyone who told you 0.17 is right around the
corner. I'm fairly familiar with it, and it's nowhere in sight. It's
being worked on, but alot of changes were made, and alot of code
is/was/will be rewritten. I'd be suprised to see 0.17 work well in the
next 8 months, but I'd expect it to work fairly well in 12-18.
