Au contraire, the Mac's OPERATING SYSTEM is designed for one button,
there's nothing stopping specialist applications from using more than
one button. I would guess that along with your four button mouse you'll
get an Extension which lets you map the other three buttons to useful
things. I'd prolly use them as apple-[XCV] for X-like copy/paste.

I used to use a five button mouse when I was doing CAD work. Very useful
indeed. That was on some kind of (I think) Apollo workstation.
