This explains perfectly why my little burg doesn't have DSL, but T1 and
ISDN are availible. I live about 1 mile (farthest possible cable loop)
from the fiber mux that trunks into $LOCAL_BIG_CITY. DSL, never being done
over fiber, means that a DSLAM *must* be located out here "in the
boonies".
