i've got an FDDI ring in my house (this *IS* the geeks mailing list after all,
heh heh) and so i saw a lot of three HP Lanprobes on eBay, ended up paying $50
for all three, so i feel i got a pretty good deal. :)

anyway, two are J3322A and one is J3322B, the B has Telemetry, which is, uhm,
if someone can explain what that is, please do. :0

anyway, i hook up my FDDI ring, slap on a serial console and drop in a power
cord. get POST, get rom prompt. but i can't do anything. it just sits there
and that's it.

does anyone know how to make one of these blasted things work? this looks like
an awesome toy, i just gotta get it working right. it's not dead in the water
though. the activity light blinks when there is traffic on the ring. so i
think it works, but how do i control it? can i config it from the console or
do i need to use an SNMP management package?

also, the J3322A's are up for grabs. 16MB ram each. revision C mobos with
68060 CPUs. i have no use for them, i only need one after all. :)

thanks!!!
