I just got off the phone with my mother.

She has advanced metasticized cancer.

She went into the hospital last week for some back pain and they found some
cysts. She didnt tell me this then. Yesterday she had a biopsy. The cysts
were actually malignant cancerous growths. They have spread through her
reproductive tract, breasts, kidneys, liver, and throat. They aren't life
threatening yet, but if they can't arrest the growth she will be dead in
maybe three months. During this entire time she will be in constant severe
pain.

When I was seven my mother was told she had two weeks to live. Breast and
throat cancer. She told the doctors to go fuck themselves quit all the
medication and went into complete remission. I've had her for 17 more years
than I have any right but god I dont want her to go.

My grandfather had pretty much the same thing happen to him just before
christmas '96. He was compltely healthy in August, they found the cancer in
september, he was dead by December.

Oh fuck


And I just went and trashed her in writing to a hundred people.

And now, I'm writing those same hundred people to wallow in grief and pity.

My god I'm a piece of shit.
